The
£1000 note above is an unissued Trial. The Commonwealth Bank's Notes
Board resolved in 1922 that dies for a newly-designed £1000 note should
be made in England, and a specimen of the new design was received in
1923. It has a perforated "SPECIMEN" in the lower-right section where a
signature would normally be. |
